Hybrid Justice is book 2 in the Tavi series by Sallyann Phillips.  After reading Angels Blood, and loving it, I had to get the second one. And, am I ever happy about it!  Coming in both paperback and Kindle, you’ll find the format you love!
Hybrid Justice
Hybrid Justice by Sallyann Phillips
Like me, Sallyann decided to take the werewolf stereotypes as well as vampires and rip them to shreds!
Tavi is like no other werewolf you have ever read about, and she is one huge kick-ass female! She is the only one of her kind, because she has the blood of four races in her system – Werewolf, Vampire, Human, and Angel.  With her Angel’s blood, she can heal the other races of supernatural beings.  But, when she is angry?  Oh, MAN!  She turns into something no one has ever seen, and the evil supernatural in the world shake in their “booties” when she changes form.  And, she meets someone she does not expect as well.
Despite Tavi’s “wait” for love between them, Cade and Tavi become closer than ever. So do several other werewolves who have found their mates for life since werewolves do mate for life. Ah, but there are also OTHER surprise matings as well.
If you are squeamish about blood, guts, intestines, heart ripping, etc., you need to know this before reading these books.  Her descriptions of these is very graphic.  For that is about the only stereotype that remains. But, without these, the book would not be the great read that it is!  And, I, personally, endorse the books!
I’m never one for revealing plots, because I like to read something for myself without spoilers. But, I will say this…If you haven’t read Angel’s Blood, you have to do so!  And, once you’ve read it, then by golly, you’ll CRAVE Hybrid Justice.
Oh, and Sallyann?  I CAN’T WAIT FOR 3!!!!  Find her on the links below

Sexperience, Vol 2, by Fletcher Brown

Oh my goodness!  These short stories are sexy with a capital SEXY! But, this book is more than sexy.  Each story gives you character backstories into why the couples become the way they are. These draw the reader in to care about them as well. You will find a story to which you can relate. Each story has its own, individual eroticism, and it will "get you in the mood"!  Without a doubt, you will find a story that will grab your interest. For me, all of them were so unique, I had a hard time choosing my favorite.

All you need to do is pick one story, and you'll only need one to get you in that mood!  The visuals that Fletcher describes are, quite frankly...well...visual!  And, they'll work for the adult man or woman of age. Both will find a story that they can relate to without a doubt

This book is not for anyone under 18.

Subnormal by Stuart Kenyon

You have heard the term "Truth is stranger than fiction".  But, in Stuart Kenyon's book, "Subnormal", I can honestly say that "fiction is stranger than truth", because his fiction world rings too much like truth!

It's just realistic enough to be frightening to the reader, and you are thrown into a world of a woman who has connived to create a slave labor force of people who are not "perfect" - both mentally and physically - complete with horrible punishments.  And the kicker? A drug was created by 2 scientists that serves t, one who "dies",  the other basically "runs".  And the drug acts like a sedative subduing and suppressing one's very personality.

But the evil woman and her new political party takes control by not only drugging people who aren't perfect, but drugging the entire country of the UK through the water supply.

But there is one thing they didn't former, and that is the surprise!  But, beware!  You will NEVER see the end coming!

And, guys?  It's a WHOPPER of an ending to the first book in the series!

The White Wolf Prophecy Trilogy by Author LK Kelley

#Twitter - @LKKelley1

Well, it's time for me to "plug" my own #author's books!  I'll begin with book #1, and follow with books #2 and #3, and I thought I'd combine some questions for LK along with some sneak peeks from the book.  I will be reviewing all 3 books in between some other reviews for other author's books. As I proceed, I will interject my bookreview between the questions.  I hope you like the format!  Oh, and red is my review, black are questions and answers to the author, and finally, Royal Blue is from the book.

"The White Wolf Prophecy ~ Mating ~ Book 1"

LK Kelley's book trilogy, "The White Wolf Prophecy Trilogy", are all 5 STARS, and not one #review was bought! These are from actual people who loved the books!   Now, read why.

All books come in both #paperback and #ebook format
#Amazon #Kindle and #barnesandnoble  #Nook

ebooks are only $ .99 EACH RIGHT NOW!

I'm not going to beat around the bush!  This book really begins with a BANG, and it just doesn't stop! In a completely unconventional and bold move to writing,  LK tears up the common stereotypes of Werewolves.  They are not "packs", but they call themselves Clans working and living side-by-side vampires, elves, and humans in the city of St. Louis, MO.  The story bounces back and forth, between St. Louis and the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Kaitlan O'Hara, heroine of the book, begins her journey to discover who, and what, she really is.  She had no idea that she is a werewolf because her Father has kept her in the dark from day 1.

Question #1:

Click the link below to read the first 2 Chapters!

Why did you choose these locations, and why did you decide on only two?

"My original idea was to choose about four or five locations around the world using places I have been, but after much debate with my own brain ( and that was a story in itself! ),  I decided to keep it down to two locations.  I felt that the story would be more consistent, and keeping to content, allowed me to be far more creative with my writing than if I had more than two locations.  The first book sets up the entire series, and I drew on my Interior Decorating knowledge for keeping it simple. I decided to use two specific backgrounds as the base of the story, but the actual locations are not the actual story.  I used them simply for complementing the story instead of making it front and center."

Review

Begining Background:  Kaitlan Seneca O'Hara is the daughter, and book editor, for her Father, Canaan Marshall O'Hara, who is the foremost #publisher of the Seneca Publishing House in St. Louis, Missouri. It is reknowned throughout the world, and the one most all authors hope will accept their writings.  Until now, he has managed to keep the fact that Kaitlan is like him - a werewolf, but her first change happens at the age of twenty-seven, and her birthday is tomorrow.  He suspects someone, but has no proof as of yet. An ancient curse was cast wrong long ago, and in consequence, the entire Supernatural World is dying out little by little.  Canaan and Kaitlan's lives are threatened by a very unique, and totally mysterious villain called "Zanack". In his desperate desire to get Kaitlan out of the killer's hands, he sends her just as her birthday approaches to his former "First", the most famous Science Fiction writer in the world, Cordone Tristan Valon. Now, I have to tell you, his Rocky Mountain home has to be one of the most UNBELIEVABLE designs I've ever seen, or read about!  ( I doubt any reader has ever read of a design like this as it is hand-carved into a mountain ).  And, the house has its own unique character as well including a 3 story waterfall inside!

A prophecy has been handed down over thousands of years.  A race begins to interpret it, and stop what has been set into motion. And, it all centers on The White Wolf, and when it appears. Once it appears, everything will placed into motion with a totally different ending by book 3 than I have ever read!

When The White Wolf appears,
All that once was,
Will yet again be,
Beware that danger is not past.

Evil still present,
Will cause to suffer,
That which is,
To not last.

Find The One, who cursed our worlds,
Or succeed in task will he.
For if he wins, the second time,
Our fate, forever, will be cast.

"KAITLAN SENECA O'HARA! Get your butt in here right now!” Kaitlan groaned, and rolled her eyes wondering what was wrong with her Dad this past week. Her Father’s voice never needed an intercom. However, he had insisted that she have a direct line to him, and she was convinced that its very presence was to make her life a living hell. Canaan O’Hara had steadily become more and more irritated with her lately. Well, that wasn't really fair. He had been a bastard to everyone in the entire building this week. What WAS his problem? Make no mistake; she loved her Dad, but sometimes - GRRRR! In addition, this whole week had been a GRRRR week for Kaitlan."

OK. I just HAD to ask LK:

Wherever did you get the idea for the house?

Laughing, LK told me, "I have no idea!  While I was writing, I was trying to come up with a secluded place that was not close to any town or civilization.  For whatever reason, the design just popped into my head, and I wrote it down! I just put some of my favorite ideas into it, and voila! There it was! Completely done and designed without needing a rewrite at all!"

There is far more to Cordone Valon than meets the eye, ladies!

Cordone Tristan Valon was one of the most secluded, and eligible bachelors in the world. He was a real hunk of a man. Buff and built like a tank, most women would jump at the chance to be around him in any capacity. Her best friend, Sarah Collins, had already told Kaitlan she would be happy to do whatever he wanted as long as it was on her back! Geez, Sarah! That was just so wrong. Kaitlan, grudgingly, had to admit he was gorgeous. Take all the most gorgeous male models ever laid on a cover of romance books, and roll them The White Wolf Prophecy: Mating: Book 1 9 all into one man, and they still wouldn't have the allure Cordone Valon had to the female sex! All, but Kaitlan, of course. She was in love with Steven Moss.

Exactly who is Zanack?  Reading about him made my skin crawl! Can you give us a hint?

"Well, let's see...nope!  It's a total secret.  I expand on him throughout the books as I reveal who he is.  And, believe me!  It gets a whole lot worse! He truly is the worst of the worst of the worst!  I wanted the mystery to last."

Oh, come on! Surely you can give us a hint?

Grinning wickedly, LK doesn't answer this one!  Ah, but after I read the first book, I couldn't wait to get to #2, because my interest is totally peaked!

What must be done in order to break the curse?

"The White Wolf has to appear, first. Obviously, since we are talking werewolves, this happens in book 1.  The White Wolf must mate, first, before anything else can happen. I'll give you a hint.  It's one of four women.  Kaitlan has three other besties.  Her bestie is Sarah Collins.  Then, there is Anita Moore and Lynne Rogers.  All four of them must find their mates, and yes, there is eroticism in each mating couple. But, I tried to do it with love and great passion! But, the first one to mate has to be The White Wolf. It will take all four women and their mates to thwart Zanack.  Each couple have complete backgrounds as to who they are.  I loved creating their backgrounds. Each is unique.  You must know their backgrounds, because they are essential to the plots.

I opened my mouth for the next question, and LK answered it before I could ask!

"Before you ask, yes.  I based each of my characters on real life people, and they all love it!  And, the beauty on the cover of all three books and the two men?  Well, I give little things out here and there on my Twitter Page which is @lkkelley1 as well as on Google plus and Facebook. I've included the links below where I can be found as well as the links to my book on #Amazon and #barnesandnoble as well as #Kindle and #Nook."

What else would you like our readers to know?

"Well, I wrote the books, because almost all that was available for adult women in the Supernatural area, were YA books.  After talking to a great many women ages 18-65, I discovered that not only are there 'secret' readers of the genre, but they, too, wanted adult situations in them.  Once I asked, I decided that I could write that type of book as well.  But, I wanted it to be DIFFERENT!  I wanted to write books that had a whole new idea on the supernatural area."

Well, I have to admit, LK.  You succeeded in that by a mile!  I loved book 1! And, I'm already almost through with book 2! And, I have to admit! What you have done in book 2, The White Wolf Prophecy ~ Hall of Records ~ has a surprise waiting for everyone!  I dropped my mouth when I read who showed up!

Again, LK just grins wickedly, and won't answer! So, I guess you'll have to pick up her books and find out why!

The Novel World of Angela Crown by Sala Deib

This book is totally unique, & I LOVED it for that reason.

Angela suffers a loss so terrible that her mind takes her to a place where she can cope. But it's where she goes that is an amazing story.

Her pain drives her into a book novel, and her mind hates what the author has done, so, then in the real world, and she goes after the author Inreal life.

She cannot tell reality from fantasy.  This, this adventure leads her back and forth between reality and fantasy, and leads the reader to begin wondering what is real and what is not!

A truly wonderful, and imaginative writing from a great writer, Sala Deib! Pick it up.   I recommend it highly!

Angels Blood by Sallyann Phillips

Hey guys!  Time for Lola, the Bookplug Pug's next #bookreview by Sallyann Phillips - Angel's Blood.

This book was a blast to read! Sallyann has the only other female werewolf character - other than LK Kelley - that is different than others.

Tavi doesn't know who her Father is, and her Mother never told her. Her adopted father refused to tell her as well, but taught her how to fight and defend herself special Ops style.

In order to save her life, her father and she moved quite frequently.  When she found herself alone, she continued to run as far as possible anytime something was threatening.

This begins her own journey, and she accidentally  stumbles onto who she really is, while in the meantime finding a werewolf Alpha with whom she might be able to settle down – if she can find the words to tell him. The males think she is a pushover. MAN!  Do THEY have the wrong female!!!

When her real father kidnaps her by taking a little girl from her new Pack, she volunteers to return with his henchmen if they release her, then he forces her back into his depraved Pack. When he finds out Tavi is his daughter, he is determined to make her suffer every depravity with his Firsts.

Sallyann's descriptions of her characters is superb, and you just cannot put down the book!  I love the way she winds her story around, and puts her female character in a strong role. I never read of a female werewolf who could fight like this one!!  Her new Pack is just as surprised.

Book Review by Lola, the Bookplug Pug

My first #bookreview is for Crystal Deception, by Doug J. Cooper.

I love new ideas for a story, and this is a great one.  An action packed book that assigns an inanimate object meant for evil, yet because of the interaction with good humans, becomes an entity all its own, which works with them!  In fact, it becomes friends with its humans, but only a limited few does it trust.

Jessica Tallette believes the creation will be good for humanity, the aliens who have been hovering Earth for years have an entirely different agenda known by a few humans, but not others - including Jessica. When the subterfuge is discovered, a team if humans sets out with the Crystal which is constantly learning only to discover the nefarious truth why they use humans to make the crystals. Other crystals are designed, but none become what THE Crystal is.

Old friends, and new ones are reassembled to defeat the aliens, and the outcome is not only dangerous, but deadly.  Jessica is thrown into the fight as well despite the fact she has never been in any fight, simply because she is the one who has been with the crystal from its inception.

Some of them will be lost while others will be saved.  You find yourself rooting for them, and saddened at their losses, because you are not expecting the characters you believe will be lost.  In the end, the Crystal's deception will be a temporary fix, but its growth far exceeds its intended purpose, and when it becomes sentient with a mind of its own, it sacrifices itself surprising Jessica, and all of its friends.  By this time, you will have fallen in love with the Crystal, and believe it is as much a character as either humans or aliens!  You will cheer for it, and you will be sad for it as well.  It's more human than inanimate.

A fast paced story that doesn't end, but continues on to Crystal Conquest, book 2 in the series!  I can't wait to read it!

Introducing - Me!

I want to introduce myself.  I'm "Lola, the Bookplug Pug", and I'm here to offer some cool suggestions about which books you absolutely need to read!  I'm also PR Agent to LK Kelley, author of the White Wolf Prophecy Trilogy.  Since LK introduced me on her @lkkelley1 Twitter account, I've had all kinds of positive feedback!  I want to thank all of you who liked my Tweets on her account, and this caused me to do my own blogs!

Lola, the Book Plug Pug

I'll plug LK Kelley's book series later, but I urge you to give them a try before I do!  Werewolves, Vampires, Elves, a famous, Mythological god and his buddy, along with an alien villain keep this book series moving in an effort to find the villain, before the supernatural races are destroyed, and darkness prevails. It is adult in its content, written for older women and men from 18 and up, with great backstories of each of the main characters you will love to love, and love to hate!  A surprising thing happened to LK, when  only women, 18 and older - even to 65 and older, but MEN took up the book, and loved it!  LK Kelley takes the stereotypes of these paranormal creatures to a whole new level!  It's an awesome book series, as attested to by real readers of the books. You can find all about The White Wolf Prophecy Trilogy simply by clicking on the link under my mug above!  Maybe I should call myself Lola, the Bookplug Pug with a Mug?  Naaaaaah!

Now.  Ready for my first book plug?

NOTE:  I don't like to give anything away about books, so I'll give you some ideas about what they     are about.  If you want to read my suggestions, buy the book I'm plugging this week!

I loved it! I'm very familiar with most everything TL has written, but it's the first time I read a story that wove it all together! The characters are loveable, some hateable, but I loved how she showed the truth about greed and betrayal in the book. Combine all of that in a story about time and the grid of energy surrounding the Earth at equal distances - positive and negative with time travel, and you have a group of people that are like family. And, then, combine that with the amazing possibility of going from mortal to immortal, you have an amazing story that keeps you enthralled until the end. And I loved how she actually ended the book! It's not often I feel satisfied with an ending, but this one does! Great going, TL!
TL's book is a great way to spend a lazy afternoon with a glass of wine (white of course ;) ) or a cappuccino - my favorite! If you love time travel, mythology that comes true, and an amazing ride, then you will need to read, TL's The Devil's Graveyards!

Next week, I'll be plugging Sala Dieb's "The Novel World of Angela Crown".  Just WAIT for it!

And, PLEASE! I'd love to hear your feedback, too!  Let me know if you like my very own Blog that LK Kelley decided I could write!
